State and Federal Reports
State accountability ratings are based on student performance on state exams mandated by the Texas Legislature and the Texas Education Agency (TEA).  
The Texas Academic Progress Reports pull together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year.  The TAPRs were previously known as the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) Reports.
School Report Cards provide a subset of the information available in the TAPRs (AEIS reports) on the performance of students at public schools.
Required by the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the NCLB Report Cards include information on assessment results; graduation rates for secondary students; performance of the school district and each campus on adequate yearly progress measures; the number and names of Title I schools identified as in need of improvement, including information on any schools identified for improvement; and professional qualifications of teachers in the state, including the percentage of teachers teaching with emergency or provisional credentials and the percentage of classes in the state that are not taught by highly qualified teachers, including a comparison between high- and low-poverty schools.
